When zoomed out on a diagram, the text may be too small to read. Hovering the mouse over a class title (at any zoom) causes a tooltip message to be displayed showing the fully qualified name of the class. Hovering the mouse over a symbol explains what it means, including any adornments. Uncheck this control to turn off all tool tips.
Selection colors give greater contrast which usually results in a clearer printout. Turn this option off if you want classes to appear on the printout as selected on screen at the time the print was created.
If your mouse has a wheel, then it can be faster to navigate around diagrams in a similar way to many popular applications browse images of maps. However, selecting this option hides the scrollbars (which would otherwise respond to the mouse wheel events by scrolling), so to scroll around the diagram it is necessary to use the hand scroll mode.
You can choose between Java and UML, where Java means the format

Use this option to show/hide icons.
The size and style of text as rendered on the diagram as you view it depends upon the zoom and the text style as described in the profile. So this control really names the family of font used for text across all diagrams. Note: the name of the font family should be that of a scaleable font. For example: do not use Courier, use Courier New.
This value sets the normal font size used at 100% zoom. When the zoom is less than 100%, if the text being displayed has an other than normal setting (bigger, biggest, smaller, smallest) then the actual font size rendered is relative to the normal font size. In other words, use a bigger number to see bigger text and a smaller number to see smaller text across all diagrams.
Before a large number of classes are added to a diagram, a warning dialog offers to filter the selection of classes to be added. The Addition Threshold is the number of classes above which this warning appears.
