Eclipse makes
it unnecessary to produce a separate UML
model if the only requirement of the UML
tool is to reverse engineer Java
class diagrams.
Java reverse engineering
tools typically create their own separate Java
model away from the Java model in the IDE.
Even tools which are integrated into the IDE may
well reverse engineer a Java model or a UML model
which needs to be kept synchronized with the Java
reverse engineering tool which is built into the
IDE. Using the Eclipse IDE's built in JDT Java
Model this way avoids the need for AgileJ StructureViews
to supply separate Java reverse engineer
modules of its own.

engineering are available from our support
